Show me a women who would not love the brand Johanna Ortiz? The most feminine, extravagantly ruffled skirts and dresses, chic prints and sultry off-shoulder necklines are to die for. When Johanna Ortiz entered the fashion industry, she took it by storm with her poplin, off the shoulder tops with dramatic balloon sleeves and sexy, playful, ruffled summer dresses. The many ruffles and volumes that Ortiz designs are always balanced by structure and clean shapes.
Ortiz studied fashion design in Florida. When she graduated she returned to her hometown Columbia. There, she began her own couture label. Lauren Santo Domingo, co-founder of Moda Operandi, had spotted a guest wearing Ortiz’s label at a wedding. And, as they say, the rest is fashion history.
