The creator and star of “The Mindy Project” had a birthday celebration fit for her quirky personality. As if Kaling doesn’t already call the shots in the office, she had no limits when it came to her birthday – one that she wanted to celebrate in pajamas and a crown of course!

McDonald’s continued to celebrate the birthday girl by showing their appreciation for Kaling as a loyal customer, sending her gifts and balloons, which appear to possibly spell out their signature slogan “lovin.”

And of course many of Mindy’s famous friends said their birthday wishes and even answered some of hers. BJ Novak, Mindy’s often-rumored boyfriend, posted this sweet and silly picture from a scene in “The Mindy Project.”
