Givenchy's Love Letter to New York #RiccardoTisci and #MarinaAbramovic #NYFW #GRTNYC17

There is no date more significant to New York city, than September 11th. Hudson River Park Pier 26 is only a few blocks away from where the Twin Towers once stood. The location was chosen for Givenchy’s first-ever show during New York Fashion Week. The event was indeed a thoughtful tribute to 9/11 created by artist Marina Abramovic, whom designer Riccardo Tisci collaborated with to produce a magnificent show. A Buddhist monk sang a mantra as the guests were arriving at pier.

It was a beautiful day and a beautiful scene at the lower Manhattan. The show began with a Jewish religious song, followed by Arabic and Hindu, withLatin "Ave Maria" closing the show. It was so touching and so important for all. Riccardo Tisci and Marina Abramovic wanted to remember the tragedy that happened 14 years ago on September 11th and humanity to unite.

It was one of the most phenomenal celebrity gatherings. Among the attendees were Julia Roberts, Amanda Seyfried, Liv Tyler with father Steven Tyler, Kim Kardashian with husband Kanye West, Ciara, Nicki Minaj, Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci, Courtney Love and many more.

At least 2,000 guests attended the show by a Parisian couturier on the anniversary of 9/11. The collection which included gorgeous lingerie, men's tailoring, phenomenal make up by Pat McGrath was a contrast between elegance and ferocity.

When you asked me to work on the show I felt honored and I also felt great responsibility. The 11th of September is the most sad day in recent American history. As an artistic director I wanted to create something respectful and humble.

Net-a-Porter's Founder and Chairwoman resigns the company halfway through the it's merger with Italian e-commerce group Yoox.com. It was ruled in August that the fair value for NAP was some 1.5 Billion pounds, 50% more than agreed in the deal. Mossenet complained that Richemont had undervalued the company.  Yoox confirmed that Massenet had resigned and wouldn't be joining the board of directors. There was always a doubt that two strong personalities like Massenet could co-exist with Federico Marchetti who is the e-commerce mind behind Yoox.

New "Fashion Police" segment dedicated to late Joan Rivers #JoanRivers #MelissaRivers #FashionPolice

Melissa Rivers joined Fashion Police to follow her mother's steps and she did it with a sweet remind of her late mother, Joan Rivers by adding a segment called "What Would Joan Say". Guests of the show will have to guess, what the late star would have said about a celebrity's red carpet look.

Joan died unexpectedly last September at the age of 81. Melissa shares "There isn't a day goes by that I don't personally see something and think, "what would my mom say about this?"

Melissa opened the show on her knees, pretending to collect lint with a lint roller.

"Hi, yeah, it's been a little bit of a crazy year around here, and, well, I'm still cleaning up messes. But the good news is, 'Fashion Police' is back"

The show has had a few bumps since Joan's death.

Kelly Osbourne tweed to Melissa Rivers after the show, "congratulations on an awesome show tonight!"

Melissa River replied with a sweet response,  "I love you!!! The flowers are amazing and you owned the lavender carpet! Xxx"

Olsen Twins move their show to Paris #TheRow #OlsenTwins

MARY-KATE and Ashley Olsen's brand The ROW is showing in Paris this season. Sisters are heading to the city of light, just as Givenchy makes the opposite move. The Row Spring/ Summer 2011 showed in France because of the samples not making it to New York on time. Could their ransition to Paris be because of the latest headlines with former intern accusing of mistreatment?

The dates and the venue are yet to be confirmed.
