Gianfranco Ferré is known as the “architect of fashion” and the purveyor of “power dressing,”. Italian fashion designer always expresses the white shirt in the most architectural way. Ferré’s obsessed with white shirt, to him it is a symbol of beauty, art and a way to communicate his talent in the most creative way. The white shirt became the designer's "DNA of style" and interpretation of elegance. Ferré graduated from Milan Polytechnic Institute in architecture and began his own label in 1978. From 1989 to 1997 Gianfranco was appointed Artistic Director of Christian Dior. His clothes represent elegance and cache of "made in Italy".
The White Shirt Exhibition includes 27 of Ferré's most significant white shirts created ofver the course of his career from 1982 to 2006. Sketches, photographs and videos from the making of the white shirt will take you beyond the mind of the great artist. "The White Shirt According To Me" exhibit is started its American tour.
